HOUSE TREMONT GALLERY is the home studio gallery of graphic designer, multimedia artist and gallerist, Patsy Coffey Kline. She also uses the duplex as a Salon style installation gallery and for her workshops and artist residency program.
HTG is located on the corner of Scranton Road and Willey Avenue in Tremont, a west side neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. Since 2002 Kline has presented a rolling programme of creative happenings at her home and in a rented U-haul truck. In celebration of her 10th year and recovery from serious heath issues Kline started holding monthly Happenings during Tremont artwalk January of 2014 and invites artists and the community to come hangout, make and discuss the importance art has on our everyday life.
HTG is a two-story bungalow built during the late 1800’s with a full basement and has a two-car garage located in the alley behind the house on West 18th Place. HTG also uses the gas station and parking lot next door for art installations. The fenced in yard at HTG is a veggie, flower, bee and butterfly garden that is a Certified Wildlife Habitat and registered with the National Wildlife Federation. Kline is also a founding member of the GardenWalk Cleveland.
In 2015 HTG received the honor of being listed on the United States Department of the Interior National Park Services / National Register of Historic Places qualifying it as a founding contributing structure for the newly formed Scranton South Side Historic District because it exhibits Craftsman characteristics that have not been altered.
No matter what Kline is doing – graphic design, her multimedia art, curating, flea marketing, serving on boards, committees or as chair of the local block club – her main goal is to engage, raise awareness and inspire a community about the power art has on our everyday life.
